As we continue thru Advent preparing for Christmas (and the Second Coming), Duke helps us to focus on what is next and how to prepare for it. Note that the second reading is Philippians 4:4-7 (not Ephesians).
Duke starts this sermon with a reflection on Advent… the preparation for Christmas and the Second coming that most of us miss. This is a great sermon to listen to, especially if you are caught up in the crazy commercial fury of trying to get ready. Please slow down and enjoy the season for what is meant to be.
This recording contains the “Lessons and Carols” portion of our December 2, 2018 Service. On this recording you will hear June Bittinger and Pastor Duke Dixon reading the Lessons. Music is provided by the Jubilate Ringers Bell Choir, the Chancel Choir and the PCE congregation… all under direction of Music Director, Bob Huntington.
Out of her poverty, the woman gave all that she had. Susan helps us put this in perspective and challenges us to look at the world following the example of Jesus.
