Sunday September 17, 2017 at 4 p. m. Organist Wesley Parrott will play works by J.S. Bach, F. Couperin, Lefebure-Wely and Widor. Mr. Parrott won first place in 3 organ playing competitions in the United States during 1979. In 1982 Mr. Parrott entered the Grand Prix de Chartres Organ Competition, in Chartres, France and was the only American candidate among 70 contestants to become a finalist.
Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 4 p. m. “Harriet Tubman: The Chosen One” Actress Gwendolyn Briley-Strand brings to life the story of Harriet Tubman as she takes you on one of the former slave’s journeys on the Underground Railroad. Gwendolyn Briley-Strand has been delighting audiences on stage, radio, television and in movie theatres for over thirty years. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, & Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). Her television and movie credits are extensive. Her commercial voiceovers can be heard on Network and Cable stations. She was awarded the 2003 Peer Award for Independent Feature Program for her video of Harriet Tubman: The Chosen One.
Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 4 p. m. Cellist Csilla Lakatos, Flutist Maureen Cannon and Pianist Rick Osborne will play works by Bach, Handel, Massenet, Mozart, Rachmaninoff and Saint-Saens.
