Duke Dixon has served the Presbyterian church of Easton since January 2007. He served previous churches in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Macon, Georgia. Duke earned a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Duke is married to J. Lynne Dixon and they have two children, Bethany who attends Eastern University majoring in Youth Ministry and Paul who is at York College of PA studying Electrical Engineering. Duke enjoys walking, karate, eating ethnic foods, watching movies, sports (although mainly now as a spectator), and playing games with family and friends.
Bob is a magna cum laude graduate of Towson University and holds a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting, with distinction, from Westminster College of Ride University. He also has Doctoral Studies toward a PhD in Musicology. He has over 40 years of experience as a Music Director at churches on this side of the bridge as well as the Western shore. He has also been Artistic Director of the Queen Anne’s Chorale for 15 years.
He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, The American Choral Directors Assoc. and Chorus America.
Becki comes to Presbyterian Church of Easton after running her own corporate and medical transcription company from her home for the past 13 years. After the recent death of her husband of 43 years she decided to venture back into the outside workforce. She has three children, Chris age 44, Erika age 41 and Jason age 38. She has five beautiful granddaughters ranging in age from 6 to 16 starting with Georgianna, Hannah, Parker, Sydney and Emily. She enjoys perennial gardening, decorating and spending time with her granddaughters and her four-legged dog friends, an English lab, and a Havanese and four lovebirds. She has spent the last 38 years in Tunis Mills raising her family who almost all live directly around her on the family farm. She is looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things and tuning up her computer skills
Missy taught the Caterpillar class at our church for three years and then became the Director of the preschool in the fall of 2014. She’s been a part of the church since 1998 when her son, Jacob, enrolled in preschool. Since then, her two other children, Zach and Ally, attended the program before moving on to Talbot County Schools. In the years before starting her family, she was a legal secretary. As a wife and mother, she’s stayed very busy and has helped her family’s contracting business, Mueller Builders, Inc with administrative support. She active in the community as a board member of the Chapel District and Easton Elementary Parent, Teachers Organizations.
Rachel Stoyanov (Caterpillar Teacher) is very excited to join the PPS family this year! She has actively been involved in children, youth, and music ministry for more than twenty years in a variety of locations and capacities. Rachel studied at Trinity College, University of Dublin, in Ireland before returning to the states to marry her husband, Tony, and begin their family. Rachel’s passion for teaching has always included a deep appreciation of music and the arts, even with the very youngest students. Having taught in both public and private school settings, Rachel considers it a great honor to be able to be a part of your child’s Christian education, where she is able to share her faith with her students. Rachel enjoys teaching in an upbeat and interactive learning environment. She believes that all students can benefit from the use of alternative techniques, and seeks to accommodate learning differences within the classroom to maximize each child’s God-given potential.
Julianna Shaw is the lead teacher in the Butterfly classroom. She lives in Easton with her husband, Rick, and for children. Julianna received her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Salisbury University. She’s taught in a variety of settings over the years including high school science, Christian Education, and Nursery School. Julianna joined our church’s program in 2013 and several of her children have attended the pre-school. She enjoys her family, reading and exploring the Eastern Shore. She loves being part of the Presbyterian Pre-school Family.
Amanda Kane is a co-teacher in the Caterpillar classroom. Amanda has lived locally since she was 18 months old. She married her hight school sweetheart (and long-time neighbor) Bo, and worked as manager for a dry cleaner before leaving to raise a family. In addition to her new role here at the preschool, she now works at the local YMCA, where she regularly takes up fitness challenges and coordinates the volunteers. She loves making crafts with her children Bear and Peyton, who have both attended the preschool, as well as drawing and painting. She has recently started face painting for children at local events, and is looking forward to the school year.
